The Founder

From Sierra Leone
With Pride

Joseph Koroma, founder of El-Shaddai African Cuisine, hails from Sierra Leone — a vibrant country of more than seven million people on the west coast of Africa.

Since founding El-Shaddai in Guildford, he has dedicated himself to sharing the bold, authentic flavours and rich culinary heritage of West Africa with the Sydney community.

"Some people are cleaners, some are musicians, some are athletes. What I can do is just this. Everyone is important. It is an ecosystem."— Joseph Koroma, Founder

This vision remains at the heart of El-Shaddai today — a proud celebration of West African tradition, excellence, and warm hospitality served in the heart of Guildford.
